We would like to welcome you to First Christian Church in Hutchinson, Kansas. We are a congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). We seek to be a welcoming, thoughtful, nurturing and compassionate community of faith. As Disciples of Christ we are committed to the teachings of the New Testament as our guide for faith and practice. First Christian Church has been a continuing presence in the Hutchinson community since organization of a small band of members on August 6, 1876. We have maintained a church on the present site at 5th and Main Street in downtown Hutchinson since 1884.
As we look to the future, we are seeking to develop our mission as a nurturing community of faith in a world that is need of that nurturing.
At present, our congregation is pastored by the Reverend Jim Bell.
